Wynn Macau is set to collect HKD33m ($4.21m) from Paul Poh Yang Hong, a Malaysian fund manager, after successfully arguing in court that the money owed was from a credit line opened to Poh. Judge S. Nantha Balan ordered Poh to pay to Wynn the outstanding amount, from an original loaned amount of HKD40m ($5.10m), plus interest. The court’s decision is a landmark case, marking the first time that a casino was able to collect unpaid dues from a client in Malaysia.
