
The Belgian Gaming Commission (BGC) has announced that videogame publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has agreed to “remove the paying loot boxes in the game FIFA.” The gaming regulator added that EA had committed to complying with Belgian gaming laws. The row between EA and BGC started when the latter declared that random contents of paid loot boxes are under the definition of ‘games of chance’ in Belgium law.
