1xBet slapped with €400k penalty for serving Dutch patrons

Netherlands’ Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) regulatory body imposed a €400k fine against online gambling operator 1xBet, xbet-1.com and 83 allied online domains for serving Dutch punters without local permission. The KSA said 1xBet and its other domains targeted Dutch customers during the period spanning February to July 2018. In appealing its case, 1xBet said that it does not deserve the hefty penalty, as the number of Dutch customers who accessed the domains was “exceptionally small.”
