
The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) banned an ad on the Mirror Online website, which features Monopoly mascot Rich Uncle Pennybags, for being appealing to children. In a ruling yet to be released, ASA said the ad violated its code providing that gambling ads should not be enticing to young people. Entertaining Play, the Gibraltar-based company behind the game, said the ad did not display features or colors that will make it appealing to children and was only targeted at over-18s.
