The rugby calendar always gets busier as the nights draw in but this time around there’s the small matter of the Six Nations to finish before the Autumn Internationals even begin.
England warm up with a match against the Barbarians on Sunday October 25. The following weekend they travel to Rome to play Italy in the final match of the Six Nations – a competition Eddie Jones’s team can still win.
Then it’s the Autumn Nations Cup – a new tournament format in which England play Georgia, Ireland and Wales, before a final on December 6.
Even without crowds, the return of international rugby is more welcome than usual. And to help guide you through the season, Telegraph Sport is bringing back the England Rugby Insider newsletter.
Each week our briefing brings you my own insight into the matches, the latest news from chief rugby correspondent Gavin Mairs, plus close analysis of the tactics and trends from Charlie Morgan.
How will Eddie Jones marshal his squad full of debutants? Will international referees continue the crackdown on the breakdown? Have Georgia got what it takes to upset the Tier 1 nations?
With so much to look forward to, I hope you’ll sign up.
